The Paxton Dog Park is the result of over a year of planning, hard work, and fundraising by the Paxton Dog Park Committee.
The Paxton Dog Park is located at Coady Park. It sits east of the tennis courts and north of the skate park. Currently, parking is available in the Civic Center parking lot off of Fall St. or you can use the gravel entrance close to the skate park off of Summer St.
Open daily, year-round, dawn to dusk. Use of the dog park is free.
Rules and regulations of the Paxton Dog Park are posted on site. All visitors are expected to be aware of and follow the rules and regulations.
The dog owner agrees to assume the full risk of any injuries, damages or loss connected with or associated with the use of the Dog Park. Owners are responsible for the actions of their dogs and may be subject to state laws and local ordinances concerning dangerous or vicious dogs.
All dogs must be current with required vaccination and be registered with the county.
Dogs must be leashed while entering and exiting the park. Member must have a leash at all times.
Dogs may not be left unattended or out of sight range or voice command. A member age 16 or older must be present at all times and is solely responsible for the actions of their dog(s).
Children must be at least 6 years old and accompanied by an adult to enter the park.
Dogs that exhibit vicious, fierce, aggressive or dangerous behaviors are not permitted in the park. Excessive barking is strongly discouraged.
Female dogs in heat are not permitted in the park.
Dogs less than 4 months old are not permitted in the park.
Members must immediately pick up after their dog.
People food, dog food or dog treats are not allowed in the park.
Smoking is prohibited inside the dog park.
Members are limited to three (3) dogs per visit.
Dogs, owners and users creating a disturbance or violating posted rules must leave the park if requested by Park District personnel or their designated agents.
Infraction of any of these rules can result in temporary or permanent loss of park privileges. Please

The Paxton Dog Park is located in a neighborhood park. All visitors are expected to follow the rules and regulations while being courteous and respectful to other visitors, the property, and the surrounding property.
